and I hope I’ve spelt their names correctly!!

I recently had the immense pleasure of photographing these beauties when I was in Sydney recently. They’re so beautiful, and so different! Isabel is the teeny, fine featured one, and Marcella was the bigger (slightly!), more rounded sweetie with big pouty lips. They did an amazing job of being photographed, it’s a lot to ask when you’re 9 days old, and we managed to get some incredible images to remember them when they’re so fresh and new.

and check out the sibling rivalry already. Of course Isabel hadn’t really just decked Marcela, but it’s funny nevertheless!

and a huge thank you to everyone for the fantastic year that was 2009 I’m in the process of pulling together a slideshow of the past year, so I’ll post it when it’s done.

In the meantime I wanted to show two very special families from last weekend. Saturday night saw me heading to outside of Angaston to photograph a family on their incredible property. We didn’t have enough time to cram all of the amazing spots in, it was such a playground for a photographer! I found it such a delight and privilege to record their lives on the farm that’s been in their family for generations.

Sunday saw a marathon effort to get two incredibly special little boys to co-operate. Trying to get the two of them asleep together without them throwing fists in each other’s faces was a job! We got the shot in the end, though… (and I had to add the fur baby, Moet )

So, if last weekend is any indication of what 2010 is to bring, I’m thrilled. I can’t thank my fantastic clients enough, it’s their stories that are the inspiration.

of an amazing shoot that was held tonight! I promised I’d do a sneak peek, but knew if I didn’t do it now it would never go up This Christmas season has been especially busy but it’s been wonderful to make the most of the beautiful mild days. A nice change from the horrendous hot weather a few weeks ago!

As I sit here on yet another glorious Saturday, I wanted to post some of the gorgeous images from last week’s late Saturday afternoon shoot. We braved sticky/spikey bits off grass, ants and that late afternoon heat to get these photos, and I’m absolutely thrilled with the results. The kids were amazing

Saturday afternoons book fast, so if you’re interested in the kind of shoot where we utilise this amazing light, you’ll need to be quick. There is one or two left before Christmas only. I do keep a waiting list for when I’m booked out, so ask about that if the date you’re keen on isn’t available.

Adelaide Photography – pregnancy – baby – newborn – child

It feels like ages since I’ve posted here, and it’s no surprise with how busy the last few months have been. So, I’m poking my head out to show off a few latest favourites, before I disappear beneath the mountain of work again! Roll on Christmas Day )

This is a sneak preview of my new Christmas window photos… This family was so inspiring, and so lovely to let me fulfil a dream of taking a newborn down to the beach. The photos we got were beyond my wildest dreams, so thank you so much Mary and Ricky!

For the technically minded out there, these sittings were both held on fairly sunny (and yes, windy) days, around midday. I set myself a challenge to make the harsh midday sun work, and really love the results. Of course, having an adult that will stand where you want them to makes all the difference! I’d defy anyone to do this with a toddler )
