This beautiful little man was so sweet and placid. I was shocked to learn that he’d had a tummy-ache that day and normally is even more chilled out! I’m sure he’s going to be as lovely as his parents, he’s very blessed.Especially given their exceptional taste in Burmese cats and Harry Potter! We have a lot in common

“Hope is the dream of a soul awake” ~ French proverb

This month’s blog carousel is a special one. This month we honour one of our own, a beautiful photographer who has just found out she has stage 3 ovarian cancer and has begun her battle to fight, and fight hard. Our brief this month was ‘hope’, and I knew I had the perfect family to highlight.

This gorgeous little girl has been much longed, wished and fought for. She defied the odds to be here and proves that life, although tenuous and fragile, gives us hope for the future. I was privileged to be part of her arrival, even if it’s in such a small way, and it made enormous sense that Sofia is the pin up girl for this post.

I had the most gorgeous response to my post a few months ago about Anna and Dino’s pregnancy photos…so I HAD to post the photos of their beautiful baby girl, Aria. We went back to the same location to do them, and Aria was just perfect. The right mix of bright-eyed and completely conked out…

How cool is the photo with the award? Anna is an Aria award-winning singer, it was begging to be taken!

Sometimes the beach turns it on for us. Beautiful balmy night, mirror like water and the most beautiful silvery light. Add to that a gorgeous, relaxed and lovely family and we have the perfect shoot.

It’s been sooo long since I did a shoot at the beach, which seems insane given that I used to be there every Saturday night! It was fantastic to get back there and rediscover how gorgeous it is at this time of year. The weather has been superb.

My little subjects were amazing. Getting four littlies on board may seem daunting, but the best part of this job is that kids are gorgeous just doing their thing With this shoot we saw it all, an explorer, a daredevil, a grinner and a watcher…and from the photos you’d never guess which was which I love it when the kids surprise me.
